Media Coverage: TVB's "A Closer Look" Reunion Dinner with Soft Meals

Recently, reporters from TVB's "A Closer Look" visited the Care Food Incubation Scheme - Care Food Banquet to interview the stakeholders and explore Care Food from multiple perspectives 🤓.

The program examined the impact of Care Food on different groups, including advocates, producers, and caregivers. Preparing a reunion dinner before the New Year often demands significant time and effort from caregivers 🥲. If Care Food becomes widely available, individuals with swallowing difficulties and their families could dine out together, sharing meals at the same table—saving time while enjoying precious family moments 🤩.

Mr. Jim Cheung Chin-hing, Manager of the HKCSS Solutions Hub, highlighted in the program that the lack of restaurants offering Care Food discourages families from dining out with loved ones who have swallowing difficulties, potentially isolating them from community connections 😢. The Care Food Incubation Scheme was launched to promote the idea of shared family dining, enabling individuals with swallowing difficulties to eat the same meals as their families in public settings. The goal is to make Care Food more accessible and integrated into communities, supporting those in need 😇.
