HKCSS and CMA Sign <Greater Bay Area Care Food Standards MOU> to Drive Industry Development and Unlock Silver Economy Opportunities

Today, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) and the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Care Food Greater Bay Area Standards. This collaboration aims to leverage cross-sector partnerships among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to establish the first unified "Care Food GBA Standards" through joint efforts by the social welfare and business sectors, align industry regulations and enhance product/service quality, foster regional connectivity and integrated development, and unlock silver economy opportunities.
The signing ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. Mr. Chua Hoi-wai, CEO of HKCSS, and Dr. Wingco Lo Kam-wing, President of CMA, inked the MOU under the witness of Mr. Cheuk Wing-hing, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration, HKSAR; Dr. Bernard Chan, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, HKSAR; and Mr. Ho Kai-ming, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, HKSAR. This marks a key milestone in deepening economic integration and exchanges across the Greater Bay Area.
