"Eat with Joy" Care Food Seminar & Interactive Exhibition Successfully Concluded! 🎉

On October 18, the Care Food Working Group of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in collaboration with the Kowloon Central Cluster Patient Resource Centre, held the "Eat with Joy" Care Food Seminar and Interactive Exhibition at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This event marked the second major community initiative under the "Care Food Around You" campaign and represented our first public education partnership with a Hospital Authority Patient Resource Centre. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, we achieved healthcare-community collaboration, introducing Care Food and swallowing difficulty resources into hospital settings. This enabled patients, caregivers, medical staff, and the public to gain a deeper understanding of these critical topics.

During the event, we have invited the following organizations to participate in the Interactive Exhibition. On-site swallowing screening tests, swallowing rehabilitation training demonstrations, Care Food cooking techniques, product showcases and community resource information were provided.

Also, we held four thematic workshops and cooking demos, which includes understanding swallowing difficulties & Care Food, preparing Care Food of different levels at home, safe feeding techniques from hospital speech therapists.
