【Care Food Cooking Competition 2025 Pre-Competition Workshop】

The Care Food Cooking Competition 2025 organized a workshop on Care Food and swallowing difficulties at German Pool Happy Kitchen Café & Bar in Causeway Bay last Saturday. This year, foreign domestic helper finalists and student chefs from The International Culinary Institute were invited to participate in the workshop. Some of the contestants’ employers were in attendance to show their support! And we are hoping that through the workshop, participants from different sectors can have a better understanding of Care Food and swallowing challenges!  😉

A speech therapist shared with the participants about the information of dysphagia, the level of Care Food and caring skills. This year, we had added an interactive cooking experience! In addition to the chef's demonstration and instruction on Care Food cooking skills, participants could work with the chef to cook Care Food and gain experience in Care Food preparation .🤩

The participants enjoyed the whole experience and exchanged ideas happily with each other. We believe that the event could provide a chance to participants for a deeper understanding of Care Food!😎
