Meeting with the Guangdong Institute of Standardization

Earlier, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service signed the <Greater Bay Area Care Food Standards MOU> with the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, aiming to promote the development of the care food industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and explore opportunities in the silver economy 👍🏻. On January 7, the Care Food Working Group and the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association visited the Guangdong Institute of Standardization to exchange insights with experts from various fields on Care Food. The goal is to promote the concept of Care Food across the Greater Bay Area, benefiting more individuals with swallowing difficulties and their caregivers 😇.

During the visit, in addition to touring the Guangdong Institute of Standardization and learning about their work, both sides shared perspectives on Care Food and discussed its current development in Hong Kong ✨.

We look forward to collaborating with more stakeholders to advance Care Food initiatives, establish it as a Greater Bay Area standard, and enhance the quality of life for people with swallowing difficulties and their caregivers 🤩.
