Hong Kong is transitioning into an aging society, leading to a steady rise in the number of individuals facing swallowing difficulties due to old age and health conditions. In addition to partnering with The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Food Research Centre and The University of Hong Kong’s Swallowing Research Institute to create the <Guidelines of Care Food Standard>, the HKCSS channel has invited Dr. LAW Thomas Ka Tung — Assistant Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and Associate Director of the Speech Therapy Division at CUHK — to share expert insights on “Care Feeding.” This includes how to avoid choking (Pre-Meal Preparation Guide), proper feeding techniques, and emergency response if choking occurs.
In the first episode, Prof. Law shared with the audience about “Care Feeding”, including: how to avoid choking (Turbid Kissing), how to handle choking, and so on.
