Guideline of Care Food Standard

Introduction

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service is actively promoting the development of "Care Food", providing a range of "Care Food" information and relief solutions for individuals with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), caregivers, and the sector. The following goals are aimed at being accomplished: 

  • Increase public awareness of "Care Food."

  • Provide information and platforms for individuals with dysphagia, caregivers, and the sector.

  • Promote a robust and sustainable "Care Food" market environment.

  • Advocate for policy changes to facilitate implementation.

  • Create a distinct local Guideline of Care Food Standard, combining international and local sector practices.

  • Clearly defined standards and levels

  • User-centred testing methods, the professional version prioritises data-driven precision and reliability, while the simplified version emphasises practicality and user friendliness.

  • Quick and direct access to comparative information across different "Care Food" standards for individuals with dysphagia, caregivers, and the sector.
